March 13, 2009 09-36710 - Attempted Robbery - At 7:16 p.m. police responded to Pilot's Pub, 10 Atlantic Street, Dartmouth in relation to an attempted robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned that a male entered the business, produced a knife and demanded cash from the employee. The employee refused, advising the suspect that the police had been called. The suspect fled the scene on foot, followed by a patron who updated the police of the suspect's location, eventually observing him enter a cab. The cab was stopped on Irving Street and the suspect was arrested. He is being held on charges of robbery and wearing a disguise while committing an indictable offence.


5700 atlantic street September 7, 2008 08-132819 - Robbery - At 5 a.m. a husband and wife were in the bedroom of their residence in the 5700 block of Atlantic Street, Halifax, when a male suspect entered the room and pointed a gun at them. The suspect told the victims he was looking for money. The suspect searched various places in their home and then fled with various items. It is believed the suspect entered the residence through an unlocked door. The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 30-40-years-old, 6' tall, heavy set, wearing a navy blue tracksuit, and a ski mask covering most of his face. The matter remains under investigation.


March 20, 2007 07-39929 Attempted Robbery - At 10 p.m. a male was approached by three white males on Young Street at Atlantic Street in Halifax. The suspects demanded the victim turn over everything he had. The victim ran and was chased for a short distance. There were no injuries and nothing was taken. The suspect who approached the victim was described as 5'10" with brown hair and a very close buzz cut, believed to be clean shaven, and was wearing a black hooded sweat shirt and baggy blue jeans. The incident remains under investigation.



December 15, 2005 109575-Robbery-At 8:30 p.m. a 20-year-old female was walking , the area of South Bland and Atlantic Streets when a male grabbed her purse and fled the scene. The suspect is a male, ethnicity unknown, 5'6"-5'7" , short dark hair, wearing dark jeans and a 'puffy' winter jacket. No one was injured and the matter is under investigation.

atlantic street July 27, 2005 43876 Injury Motor Vehicle Collision At 6:30 p.m. police responded to Atlantic Street regarding a collision between a car and motorcycle. The car attempted to turn into a parking lot and the motorcycle rider tried to pass him. The motorcycle rider struck the side of the car losing control and dropping the bike. He was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries.

YOUNG avenue & atlantic st October 23, 2004 48267 Injury Accident, Young Avenue at Atlantic St - At 1:55 a.m. a vehicle traveling on Young Avenue struck a parked car resulting , heavy damage to both vehicles. The driver of the vehicle was treated , hospital for a head injury.

atlantic st August 19, 2004 37449 Industrial Accident - Rowan Gorilla Oil Platform Atlantic St. - At 2:00 a.m. a 38-year-old man was struck , the head by a piece of machinery aboard the oil platform docked at the foot of Atlantic St. The male was transported to hospital with what appeared to be a serious head injury. The Marine Safety Division of Transport Canada is investigating.




atlantic st February 9, 2003 5654 Industrial Accident at 1:10 p.m. on Atlantic St , Dartmouth male worker fell from a crane. He suffered an apparent back injury. The Department of Labor is investigating.



atlantic street June 22, 2002 24722 - The Department of Labour is investigating an industrial accident on Atlantic Street at approximately 2:00 a.m. An adult worker fell approximately eight feet from staging and injured his shoulder and face. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
3 atlantic street December 17, 2001 51866 - A 45 year old male received minor injuries after being struck by a fork lift while exiting his vehicle , the area of 3 Atlantic Street at around 9:40 a.m.

atlantic st June 22, 2001 25292- Police were called to the scene of a fire at a storage facility on Atlantic St. It was idscovered the fire was deliberately set on the exterior of the building. Police continue to investigate.
atlantic street July 11, 2000 26533 - Units were dispatched to an Atlantic Street, Halifax residence around 2:15 a.m. after people there heard breaking glass. Two parties were arrested , the basement of a dwelling, while a third was arrested a short distance from the home. Three young offender males will appear , court today facing charges of break, enter and theft.
