40 alderney drive May 7, 2010 10-64381 - Assault with a Weapon - At 9:15 p.m., police attended 40 Alderney Drive in Dartmouth, where a 15-year-old male was arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon after spraying a canister of bear spray at two young females. The girls were not seriously injured. The parties were known to one another.


ALDERNEY drive & queen street September 3, 2009 09-130395 - Robbery - At approximately 7:40 a.m. a male was walking in area of Alderney Drive and Queen Street, Dartmouth, when he was approached by another male not known to him. The male punched the victim in the face and demanded his money. The victim attempted to turn and run, but fell, and the suspect jumped on him and threatened to harm him. The victim turned over a sum of cash, and a bank card.


ALDERNEY drive & portland street June 8, 2009 09-81683 - Injury Motor Vehicle Accident - At 12:50 p.m. police were called to the intersection of Alderney Drive and Portland Street in relation to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Upon arrival, officers learned that a 31-year-old female driver of a vehicle turned left onto Portland Street in front of a Metro Transit bus resulting in a collision. The vehicle was pushed onto the sidewalk by the collision where it struck a 61-year-old male pedestrian. Both the driver of the vehicle and the pedestrian were transported to hospital via ambulance with non life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing, though at this time there have been no charges laid.


ALDERNEY drive & portland street November 27, 2008 08-175803 - Injury Motor Vehicle Accident - A 57-year-old male pedestrian was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident at Portland Street and Alderney Drive at 12:15 p.m. The 27-year-old female driver of the vehicle was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.


KING street & alderney drive May 25, 2008 08-74131 - Impaired Driving and Injury Motor Vehicle Accident - At 12:32 a.m. police responded to a motor vehicle accident at Alderney Drive and King Street, Dartmouth. A truck had struck the guard rail, causing it to enter the vehicle. The guard rail narrowly missed hitting the driver. The 46-year-old male driver suffered minor chest injuries. He was arrested at the scene for impaired driving.


queen street & ALDERNEY Drive March 18, 2008 08-39245/39234/39251 - Theft of Vehicle, Property Damage, Break and Enter - At 7 a.m., a 37-year-old man stole a vehicle from Inglis Street, Halifax and drove to the Needs Store on Queen Street. The suspect became involved in a dispute with the clerk, after which he rammed the building with the stolen car. At 7:47 a.m., the suspect broke into a business and residence on Alderney Drive, Dartmouth and stole a quantity of cash from the occupants, who were at home. Patrol members ivestigating the two incidents located and arrested the accused still driving the stolen vehicle on Gottingen Street, Halifax. The suspect has been charged with two counts of 'Theft', and one count each of 'Possession of Stolen Property', Property Damage', 'Break and Enter.'


40 alderney drive November 17, 2007 07-175688 - Suspicious Fire - At 6:00 p.m., police responded to a suspicious fire in the underground parking garage at 40 Alderney Drive in Dartmouth. The rear tire of a parked vehicle had been set on fire. The incident remains under investigation.


October 18, 2007 07-159363 - Break and Enter - At 9:40 p.m., a female youth activated the intrusion alarm of the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission outlet store in Alderney Landing, Dartmouth, while attempting to smash the front entrance door with a rock. The suspect fled but was apprehended by police. A 15-year-old girl is being held for a Monday appearance in Youth Court to be arraigned on "Attempted Break and Enter" charges.


40 alderney drive October 5, 2007 07-152338 - Injury Accident - At 5:00 p.m., a bicycle and vehicle accident occurred near 40 Alderney Drive in Dartmouth. The rider of the bicycle was transported to the hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.



alderney drive December 13, 2006 06-168887 Robbery A male reports he was walking on Alderney Drive (Dartmouth) near the canal about 7:30 p.m. when he was jumped from behind by three people who subsequently took his money. The victim, who was not injured, could not provide any description of the three suspects.

November 23, 2006 06-159845 Robbery 10 p.m. Alderney Landing, Dartmouth. A male and female were approached, assaulted, and robbed of their money by a group of four males. The suspects were described as white males in their teens. One was wearing a green sweater and carrying a skateboard. One was wearing a black puffy jacket, one a camouflage jacket, and one had a shaved head and was wearing a blue sweater. The victims did not require medical attention.


alderney drive January 19, 2006 06-7473 Motor Vehicle Collision 6:40 p.m. - A five vehicle collision occurred on Alderney Drive. There were no injuries.

ALDERNEY drive & portland street February 3, 2005 4706- Car and pedestrian accident at Alderney Drive and Portland Street. At 1:25 p.m. a 52-year-old male was struck while crossing Alderney Drive at Portland Street. He was taken to the hospital for treatment for minor injuries. A 22-year-old female driver was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian , a crosswalk.


portland st & ALDERNEY Dr July 16, 2002 28626 - Police are seeking two male suspects after a patrol unit attempted to stop a vehicle on Portland St near Alderney Dr. at approximately 5:00 a.m. When the vehicle stopped the two male occupants jumped out and fled, leaving the vehicle , gear. The vehicle rolled down the street and struck the entrance door of Alderney Gate, causing extensive damage to the building. The suspects are described as black males , their late teens or early 20s. One was wearing a hood and the other with a dark shirt with white stripes. The vehicle was later determined to be stolen.
