August 15, 2010 10-120444 - Sexual Assault - At 6:15 p.m., police responded to sexual assault complaint. A 37-year-old man stated he was hitchhiking in Dartmouth and was picked up by a man in a red or green Toyota, either a Tercel or Corolla. The suspect pulled a handgun on him and took him to a wooded location in the south end of Halifax where the suspect sexually assaulted him. The suspect was described as an Arabic and Middle Eastern man, late 40's, 6' tall, 180-200 lbs., with black hair, a mustache and scruffy facial hair. The suspect removed a black crew-neck golfing style windbreaker and underneath he wore a long sleeved t-shirt with a grey body and black sleeves. The suspect was also wearing dark pants. The matter remains under investigation.


2300 robie street August 14, 2010 10-120184 - Sexual Assault - At 8:45 p.m., a woman pushing her baby in a stroller in the 2300 block of Robie Street in Halifax was approached by a man. The suspect grabbed the victim by the waist and buttocks and commented on how good she looked. The suspect was described as a white male, mid 30's, with "buzzed" dark hair, scruffy facial hair, long face with a long nose, droopy eyes, and wearing a blue button up shirt with sleeves rolled up, tan shorts and carrying a brown shoulder bag. The matter remains under investigation.


3800 kencrest avenue August 8, 2010 10-116838 - Indecent Act - At 2:10 p.m., police responded to the 3800 block of Kencrest Avenue in Halifax. It was learned a man had been in a back yard committing an indecent act. Police checked the area and could not locate the man. The suspect was described as a white man, 6" tall, 190 lbs, well tanned, brown hair, wearing a red and white sports jersey with dark pants. He fled the area in a newer four door red vehicle with silver rims. This matter remains under investigation.


July 21, 2010 10-105238 - Indecent Exhibition-

A 19 year-old Halifax male was arrested this evening for an Indecent Act call that occurred on at 5:45 pm when the accused parked his vehicle along side the playground and requested she come over to the vehicle. The victim was at the playground with small children. Once the victim was near the accused vehicle she observed him to be masturbating. The children did not witness the act. The victim noted the accused licence plate, walked away and called police. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear and an Undertaking with a future court date .

5600 ogilvie street July 10, 2010 10-99751 - Indecent Act - At 5:35 a.m., a complainant observed a man in the area of 5600 Ogilvie Street in Halifax, behind a fence with his pants down to his ankles masturbating. The suspect ran off with the complainant following him. When the complainant attempted to call police from a pay phone he lost sight of the suspect. The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 25-years-old, with short blond hair, wearing beige cargo shorts, a dark hoodie style sweater, a baseball hat and white sneakers. Responding officers searched the area with negative results. This matter reamins under investigation.


278 lacewood drive June 17, 2010 10-86456 - Indecent Act - At 3:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a man exposing himself in the parking lot of the Lacewood Mall, 278 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. A male in a black VW GTI exposed himself to a female. The suspect was described as a white man, 25-30-years-old, strawberry blond hair, wearing a blue shirt, black dress pants and black dress shoes. The suspect was driving a black Volkswagon GTI with a Quebec licence plate. The matter remains under investigation. Anyone with information about this incident are asked to call 490-5016 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-888-222-TIPS (8477).


May 1, 2010 10-60817 - Indecent Act - At approximately 4:10 a.m., police responded to a report of an indecent near Citadel High. A 20-year-old man walking in the area was approached by a 60-year-old male who committed an indecent act. The suspect was arrested near the scene and released to attend court at a later date.


5100 duke street April 26, 2010 10-57696- Indecent Act - At 10:05 a.m., police responded to a report of a man exposing himself in the washroom area of a building in the 5100 block of Duke Street in Halifax. The building was checked and the suspect was located on the third floor. A 34-year-old Halifax man was arrested and charged without incident for an Indecent Act and taken to court.


PRESTON street & pepperell street March 25, 2010 10-42191 - Indecent Act - Approximately 7:30 p.m., police responded to a complaint of a male exposing himself to a woman while she was walking along Pepperell Street and Preston Street in Dartmouth. The victim provided a plate number of the suspects vehicle which led to the arrest.

A man in is twenties is currently in police custody. The General Investigation Section continues investigating related offences.

Halifax Regional Police investigate a rash of indecent exposures.

Police responded to four different complaints of a young male exposing himself to pedestrians. The first call was received at 6:30 p.m., describing a male in his early twenties, 6' tall. There is a possibility that the male had access to a small boxy shape vehicle, teal in color. The area was searched with negative results. This matter remains under investigation.





southend March 21, 2010 10-39872/39880/39861/399147 - Indecent Exposures - Between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. police received four separate complaints of a young male exposing himself to pedestrians in southend Halifax. The suspect was described as a male in his early twenties, 6' tall, with brown hair. There is a possibility the suspect had access to a small boxy shaped, teal coloured vehicle. The area was searched but the suspect was not located. This matter remains under investigation.


sackville street March 9, 2010 10-33190 Indecent Act - Police responded to an indecent act complaint which occurred at 8:50 a.m., on Sackville Street near Public Gardens in Halifax. The male suspect was walking on Sackville Street with his pants open and his genitals exposed. Suspect is described as a white male, mid to late 20s, 5'2" to 5'5" tall, average build wearing a black toque, jean jacket, skinny jeans and black high top sneakers.

andrews stret July 19, 2009 09-104690 - Indecent Act - At 7:00 p.m. police were advised that a man was masturbating in the area of the 7100 block of Andrews Stret in Halifax. The intoxicated man had approached two females, attempted to initiate conversation with them but they ignored him. The man then stuck his hands down his pants, began touching himself, then pulled his pants down completely and began to masturbate openly in front the females. As an HRP K9 officer arrived the man fled but was quickly located and arrested a short distance away. A Halifax man was charged with committing an Indecent Act and released on a Promise to Appear and Undertaking to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.


gottingen street June 24, 2009 09-90508 - Indecent Act - At 7:30 p.m. police responded to a complaint of an indecent act in the area of Dixon Park on Gottingen Street in Halifax. Responding officers interviewed several witnesses who all advised that a man had fondled himself under his clothing in full view of several adults and children. Since the man was known to some of the witnesses he was subsequently arrested at his residence shortly afterwards. An 18-year-old Halifax man is being held in custody to appear in tomorrow charged with an committing an indecent act.


June 16, 2009 09-86365 - Indecent Act - At 1:15 p.m. police responded to Chebucto Heights School in relation to a male naked from the waist down in the woods behind the school. Three female students came across the male, who can only be described as a white male with a reddish beard, while returning to school. The students did not seen an actual act as they ran to the school.
The matter remains under investigation.


caxton close June 14, 2009 09-85092 - Indecent Act - At 11:55 p.m. a 33-year-old female was watching television in her Caxton Close apartment when she noticed a man standing outside of her window. She confronted the man and realized that he was masturbating. She returned to her apartment and called police. The suspect was described as a white male, 170 lbs, with pale skin, and bad teeth. He was wearing a black hat, a dark hoody, baggy blue jeans and sneakers. The area was checked but the suspect had left.


200 willett street June 13, 2009 09-84007 - Indecent Act - At 12:39 a.m. the resident of an apartment in the 200 block of Willett Street looked out of a rear window into into a wooded area and observed a man masturbating. The only suspect description was a male with dark pants.


radcliff drive June 11, 2009 09-83388 - Indecent Act - Police spoke with a 10-year-old student at Park West school who reported that shortly after 3:00 pm she was walking home on the path near Radcliff Drive in Halifax when she was approached by a jogger who exposed himself. The suspect did not say or do anything else and continued jogging after exposing himself. He is described as a white man in his early 20's, medium size build, clean shaven with buzzed blond hair, and wearing a grey t-shirt and shorts.


April 15, 2009 09-52853 - Indecent Act - At 4:00 p.m. an 18-year-old female reported she was walking along the path near Waynewood Drive and Everette Street in Dartmouth when a silver SUV approached her. A white male, in his late 20's and early 30's with short brown hair exited the vehicle, exposed himself and asked for a sexual act. The victim left the area and contacted police a short time later. Police searched the area with negative results and the investigation continues.


3601 joseph howe drive March 8, 2009 09-33166 - Indecent Act - At 8 p.m. police responded to a bus shelter located at 3601 JOSEPH HOWE DRive regarding an indecent act complaint. A 26-year-old woman was sitting in the shelter when a male sat beside her, placed his arm around her and started to push his pants down. The victim ran away and called police. Police attended and searched the area with negative results. The suspect was described as a white male, young looking, 15-16-years-old, 5'2" to 5'5" tall, a thin and long face, scraggly moustache and crooked teeth (one stuck out more that the rest). The suspect was wearing a hoodie with the hood up - white in colour with different coloured graphic designs on it, dark baggy jeans and white or light colored boxer shorts.


5000 charles street December 6, 2008 08-181514 - Break and Enter and Sexual Assault - At 3:00 p.m. police were called to an address in the 5000 block of Charles Street, Halifax, in relation to a sexual assault. Upon arrival, police learned that the 26-year-old victim was home alone in the residence when a man knocked on her door under the guise of delivering take out. The victim did not order food but opened the door, at which time the suspect entered the residence, assaulted the victim and attempted to commit a sexual assault. The victim continued to yell causing the suspect to flee the scene. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault. The suspect is described as a black male in his 40's, heavy set, with a full beard and a wearing a green toque. Patrol, Major Crime and the Forensic Identification Section are continuing the investigation.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. on Sunday,
1100 south park street December 4, 2008 08-179896 - Sexual Assault and Weapon - Police responded to the 1100 block of South Park Street at 4:10 pm in relation to a weapons call. A woman reported that she had been sexually assaulted by a man inside an apartment on the 6th floor at this location. When officers arrived, the male suspect initially refused to come out of his apartment and indicated he had a weapon. After some negotiation, he turned himself over to police without incident. He is currently in police custody and faces several weapons and sex related offences. The female was taken to the QE11 for treatment of non life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing and details of charges are not available at this time.


August 18, 2008 08-121956 - Sexual Assault (touching) - At 6:36 p.m. a woman walking in Mic Mac Mall passed a heavy set white man with a dark tan, wearing blue and red shorts and an orange shirt with writing on it. As the victim and suspect passed each other, the suspect touched the victim in a sexual manner. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. The suspect was not known by the victim. The matter remains under investigation.


hollis street August 14, 2008 08-120293 - Sexual Assault - Just after 8 p.m. a 36-year-old woman reported she had been out for a run with a friend in the downtown area and was returning to her car, parked on Hollis Street across from the train station, when she was approached by a male who apologized to her before briefly groping her breast. The man walked away and joined up with a female standing on the other side of the street who it appeared had watched the incident occur, and the two walked away (north on Hollis Street). The victim described the suspect as a clean-cut white male in his twenties, about 5'4 with curly shoulder length strawberry blond hair, wearing brown shorts and a teal colored shirt. The female with him was described as white, in her twenties, about 5'5 with a heavy build and crooked brown teeth.



brunswick street July 25, 2008 08-108768 - Sexual Assault - At approximately 5:30 p.m. police responded to the rear of Saint Patrick's Church, Brunswick Street, Halifax in response to a report of an assault. A witness indicated a man was dragging a woman across the street toward the back of the church. When police arrived it appeared that the man, who was partially clothed, was in the process of assaulting the woman in a sexual manner. Upon seeing police, the suspect fled but was captured a short distance away by police. The 26-year-old woman was taken to hospital. The 31-year-old accused will appear in court on Monday morning to face charges of 'Sexual Assault', 'Administering a Noxious Substance', 'Kidnapping' and 'Breach of Probation.'


1200 church st June 24, 2008 08-92018 - Sexual Assault - At approximately 9:00 p.m. a sexual assault occurred in the 1200 block of Church St, Halifax. A 33-year-old woman was approached by a man who touched her inappropriately several times and then fled the scene. Subsequent investigation of this matter resulted in a 22-year-old man being taken into custody a short time later. The man will appear in court tomorrow morning, charged with this offense and four similar offenses that occurred in the same area between May 8 and
cove road May 27, 2008 08-75897 - Possession of Child Pornography - The Integrated Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit executed a search warrant at an address on the Peggy's Cove Road in Glen Margaret yesterday evening. A 36-year-old man faces charges of 'Possession of Child Pornography' and 'Distribution of Child Pornography.' There was also an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Officers seized computer equipment, tapes and CD's as a result of the search. The accused was held for court in the morning.


willett street May 23, 2008 08-74093 - Indecent Exposure - At 10:23 p.m. police responded to a report of a man exposing himself outside of a residence on Willett Street, Halifax. The resident reported that a white male exposed his penis, shone a flashlight on it and did a little dance in front of one of the windows of the residence. Officer check the area but did not locate a suspect.


5200 tobin st May 19, 2008 72413 - Sexual Assault - At approx. 6 p.m. a male suspect appears to have followed a 31-year-old female to her apartment building in the 5200 block of Tobin St, Halifax. He told her he found a piece of personal identification that the victim supposedly dropped. The victim told the suspect it was not hers, at which point he assaulted her. The suspect fled after the victim struck the suspect with a package she was holding. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described as a white male, 20-22 years old , thin build , 5'8"-5'10", wearing a white t-shirt and light coloured shorts.


1200 queen street April 20, 2008 08-56870 - Sexual Assault - Reported to police this afternoon but occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. on April 20. The victim, a 20 year old female, was walking along Queen Street, Halifax when she was approached by a man. The man forced her into a driveway off of a residence in the 1200 block of Queen Street. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim and fled the area on foot. The victim attended the hospital today with minor physical injuries. The suspect was described as a black man in his mid 20's, 5' 11" tall, muscular build, thin beard along the jaw line, short black hair a little bit longer then a buzz cut and wearing a navy coloured hoodie, black jeans, Air Force One sneakers, a large stud earring and a silver watch. No scars or tattoos were visible. The matter remains under investigation.


February 21, 2008 08-26721 - Sexual Assault - At 6:45 p.m., a 15-year-old girl was on the Halifax Waterfront near "The Wave" sculpture. She engaged in conversation with an unknown male. The male pushed the victim against “The Wave” and fondled her. The victim was able to push the suspect back and run away. The suspect is described as white male, 5'11", brown hair, 40-45-years-old.


5991 spring garden road February 7, 2008 08-18945 - Indecent Act - On two occasions over the last few days an adult male has been observed masturbating in the female or family washroom of the Professional Centre, 5991 Spring Garden Road. At this time, witnesses could not provide a description of the suspect. Increased patrols are being conducted in order to locate and arrest the suspect.


5600 spring garden road February 2, 2008 08-16602 - Child Pornography - At 2 p.m., police attended an internet cafe in the 5600 block of Spring Garden Road, Halifax, as a result of a complaint from staff. A staff member stated that an adult male customer was accessing child pornography on one of the cafe's computers. A 43-year-old man was arrested on scene without incident. He will appear in court Monday morning to face charges of 'Possession of Child Pornography Contrary to Section 163.1 (1)of the Criminal Code.'


victoria road December 11, 2007 07-187272 and 187276 - Indecent Act - At 1:45 p.m., a student on the way home from school observed a man sitting in a car masturbating near Bicentennial School on Victoria Road in Dartmouth. The vehicle was described as a small silver car bearing Nova Scotia plates. A suspect has been identified and the matter remains under investigation.


Operation Christmas
The Integrated Traffic Unit conducted various checkpoints throughout the evening as part of Operation Christmas, an ongoing campaign concentrating on combatting impaired driving. As a result of the checkpoints, two adult men were charged with impaired driving and two others were issued 24 hour suspensions.



November 7, 2007 07-170096 - Indecent Acts - At 8:58 p.m., a women noticed a vehicle following her in the area of South and Queen Streets in Halifax. She observed that the driver had his pants down and was masturbating. The suspect was described as a white man, driving a small, two door, dark coloured vehicle.


November 6, 2007 07-170120 - Indecent Act - At 9:29 p.m., a women reported that while on Tobin Street near Barrington Street, a vehicle drove up beside her and the driver asked for directions. The complainant noticed that the driver was masturbating at the time. The suspect was described as a white man early 20's, 5'7" tall, 170 lbs., driving a small, two door, turquoise vehicle.


lacewood drive October 13, 2007 07-155873 - Indecent Act - At 11 a.m. a male was observed masturbating in his vehicle on Lacewood Drive. A 45-year-old male was located a short time later and arrested for committing an indecent act.

2700 joseph howe drive September 29, 2007 07-146986 - Sexual Assault - Police are investigating a sexual assault which occurred approximately two weeks but was reported today. A 16-year-old girl was walking on a path in a wooded area near the 2700 block of Joseph Howe Drive, when she was approached by an unknown white man. The suspect held the victim against her will and threatened her with a firearm. The suspect was described as a white man, in his 40's, wearing a baseball style hat and a blue raincoat.

barrington street August 18, 2007 07-123587 - Indecent Act - A complaint was received regarding a man standing on the sidewalk on Barrington Street in Halifax, handling his exposed penis. The suspect was described as a 45-year-old white man, 5' 8" tall, 161 lbs, with long brown hair and a mustache, wearing a yellow rain jacket, jeans and a black ball hat.

young & dublin streets August 8, 2007 07-117388 - Sexual Assault -At 12:13 a.m., a women was walking in the area of Young and Dublin Streets in Halifax when a man on a bicycle rode past and assaulted her. The victim did not suffer any injuries. Police immediately responded to the scene and subsequently conducted a search for the suspect but he was not located. The suspect is described as white male, mid 20's, short hair, wearing a dark helmet and red T-shirt. This matter is still under investigation.

isleville & almon streets July 9, 2007 07-100520 - Sexual Assault - This incident occured at 10:30 p.m. Monday but was reported late this afternoon. A women walking in the area of Isleville and Almon Streets was approached by a male on a black bike. He grabbed her by the buttocks and then drove off. He returned a short time later and assaulted her. The victim fought back, causing the suspect to flee. The suspect is described as a 25-year-old white male, 5'5" tall, straight teeth, slim build, dirty blond or sandy hair, "soul patch" (hair growing from the lower lip), black touque, blue jeans, black and blue checkered jacket and gold ring on his left hand. The victim did not sustain any injuries. The matter remains under investigation.




July 6, 2007 07-97743 - Sexual Assault - At 12:47 a.m. a women was sexually assaulted in the 5500 block of Macara Street in Halifax. The victim, a sex trade worker, met the suspect in the area of Agricola and North Street. They walked to Macara Street, where the suspect pulled the victim into an alley and physically and sexually assaulted the victim. The victim received injuries but did not seek any medical treatment. The suspect is described as white male, 25-30-years-old, small build, shoulder length curly blond hair, scruffy facial hair, wearing blue jeans, a dark blue jacket and carrying a back pack.

prince albert road & PORTLAND Street June 27, 2007 07-93269 - Sexual Assault - At 11:19 p.m. a women had her rear end grabbed by a man while she was using the ATM at the Royal Bank on Portland Street in Dartmouth. The suspect was described as a black man, 25-years-old, 5'7", wearing a blue ball cap, red sweater and baggy pants. The suspect remained on scene as the victim called police from her cell phone and was arrested when officers arrived. The suspect is in custody and will be arraigned in Dartmouth court on Friday,
GO - #07-92111 - Fire - At 2:30 a.m. a dumpster was lit on fire near the Mic Mac Canoe club on Prince Albert Road in Dartmouth. Three smaller fires in garbage cans were also lit in the area. Two male suspects were arrested a short distance away. They were interviewed and released pending further investigation. No major damage or injuries were sustained.

GO - #07-92121 - Weapons - At 3:15 a.m. police responded to a report of a male and female arguing and possible shots fired in the 1200 block of Queen Street in Halifax. Upon arrival a firearm was located and a male arrested. The scene is being held and the investigation continues.

UPDATE - June 28th - As a result of the joint investigation conducted by the Integrated General Investigative Section and the Drug Unit, a 22-year-old Dartmouth man is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today charged with a number of weapons related offences. A 33-year-old Halifax man is also scheduled to appear today, charged with three counts of breaching a court order, and he will appear at a later date to answer to a charge of Possession of Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Also scheduled to appear at a later date charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking are a 19-year-old Halifax woman, a 21-year-old Halifax woman, a 36-year-old Dartmouth woman and a 40-year-old Halifax man. The 21-year-old woman will also face weapons related charges when she appears.

bedford highway June 21, 2007 07-89481 Injury Accident - At 3:42 p.m. two drivers were transported to hospital with non life-threatening injuries after a three vehicle accident in the area of exit 3C on Highway 111.

Pornography - As a result of a Police search of an appartment on the Bedford Highway, a 26-year-old male will be charged with possession of child pornography and with making child pornography available for distribution.



5600 spring garden road May 25, 2007 07-74766 Indecent Act - As a result of complaints of a male exposing himself, a 51-year-old male was arrested in the 5600 block of Spring Garden Road in Halifax.


purcells cove road April 24, 2007 07-57611 Indecent Act - At approx. 10:10 a.m. an adult female and her young daughter were walking on Purcells Cove Road near the Frog Pond when the mother noticed a male committing an indecent act in the woods. The suspect can only be described as a non-white male wearing large glasses.

AGRICOLA street & west street March 10, 2007 07-34819 Indecent Act - At 11:40 ap.m. a female walking on Agricola Street at West Street in Halifax was approached by a male who came up behind her and hugged her. The suspect then ran his hand up and how her body before walking away. The suspect is described as Arab and West Asian male, 5'7", 20-years-old, goatee, wearing a baggy track suit.




6100 university avenue February 15, 2007 07-22908 Indecent Act At 215 a.m. Dalhousie Security observed a man masturbating outside a student’s window near the 6100 block of University Avenue. The man was arrested and is scheduled to appear in court today to face charges of voyeurism, incident act and trespass by night.


albro lake road November 3, 2006 06-149129 Sexual Assault See todays Press Release in relation to a sexual assault that occurred about 3 a.m. near Albro Lake Road in Dartmouth.

bayers road & ROMANS Avenue October 21, 2006 06-143504 Sexual Assault 9:40 p.m. A female got off the bus on Bayers Road near Romans Avenue. A male got off the bus as well, and followed the female on Bayers Road, making a lewd comment to her, and then hugged her and grabbed her buttocks. The female pulled away and ran off. The male did not chase her. The suspect was described as a bi-racial male in his twenties, about 5'5 with a medium build, wearing dark clothing, gloves, and a dark toque.
